Connect to QuickBooks Online

(Need to use QuickBooks Desktop? See here.)
(Need to send income from your Leases to separate accounts? See the Data Mapping section!)
(Need to sync payment data to QuickBooks Online? See here.)

From any page in NowRenting click the top right corner on your account name and select Quickbooks

To use QuickBooks Online, click the QuickBooks Online button.

Click the Connect to QuickBooks button.

Review the authorization request and terms of service, then give NowRenting access to your QuickBooks Online data by clicking Connect.

You are now connected to QuickBooks Online. You can disconnect at any time.

Check the Sync payments to QuickBooks automatically box to have NowRenting sync your payments to QuickBooks Online as soon as they are created, either by you or via ACH.

Note that NowRenting only adds new payments to QuickBooks Online: if you need to edit or delete a payment that has already been synced, you’ll need to do that in QuickBooks Online itself.

Data Mapping

The Data Mapping tab is now available, and will enable you to choose which account payments made on a particular lease will go to.

  • Each Lease is listed on its own row.
  • The dropdown inputs in the Income Account column represent your QuickBooks Online income accounts. Select the one you want to associate with the Lease shown in this row.
  • The dropdown inputs in the Deposit Account column represent your QuickBooks Online deposit accounts. Select the one you want to associate with the Lease shown in this row.
  • If you have configured classes or locations in Quickbooks Online, you’ll be able to associate each Lease with a class and a location. The class and location will be set on all payments sent to QuickBooks Online from that Lease. See here for Intuit’s documentation on configuring locations and classes.

QuickBooks Sync
